Roy Rivera Pastora, born in 1974 and incorporated as a lawyer and Notary Public in 1999, graduated Magda Cum Laude and Gold Medal for the Law Faculty at Universidad Catolica “Redemptoris Mater” in 998, is a corporate legal advisor at law firm Francisco Ortega & Asociados, where he is a Senior Associate, with ample experience in mercantile law (mercantile agreements, commercial entities and corporations), banking law, civil law and real state law, which includes: legal advice to foreign investment funds, drafting legal opinions and banking agreements (lines of credit, mortgages, loans, leases, warrants, etc.), corporate formalities, cases related to Consumer Rights, Civil Aeronautical Law and Concessions for Exploration and Exploitation of hydrocarbons and mining. He is a practicing arbitrator of the Center of Mediation and Arbitration “Antonio Leiva Pérez” of the Nicaraguan Chamber of Commerce and Services and the Inter American Commission of Commercial Arbitration (CIAC). Served as Director of Legal Advisors of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of Nicaragua (MECD – for its acronym in Spanish), where he acted as legal advisor of the Superior Directory and as member of the committees for public bids for this Ministry and as a Notary Public in charge of drafting all type of agreements and public contracts in years 1999-2002.
